A series of bizarre slayings shocked the city. The victims were women, sliced as if by claws and savaged almost beyond recognition. This was not a normal case, and as such, the police decided it was time to call in Terror. “Terror” was a cop who had been given his nickname due to his penchant for old horror comics. Ten years ago, it had all been a joke—until he had to solve a similar case where the killer in question turned out to be a werewolf. Terror killed someone very close to the werewolf back then, and now it has returned to claim its revenge.

Red Moon is two-issues of “Werewolf” horror presented in Glorious Black & White. The werewolf story was drawn by Rich Suchy with flashback sequences by Deodato Filches. It also features ferocious, painted “Werewolf” cover artwork by comic’s legend John Bolton. (see 3rd scan)

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, A grisly murder is uncovered by the police. They summon a legendary cop called “Terror”, since the case seems to be right up his alley. Terror concludes that the crime was committed by werewolves and deduces that the pack has a feud to settle with him. He tells his backstory of his involvement with the wolves in a secure location to his partner and a rookie. His partner then notifies him that the werewolves are closing in…

Finally in issue #2, Terror concludes the story and then gears up and mentally prepares the rookie to go outside and deal with the threat. After wandering around outside feeling watched, the duo are ambushed and a huge fight breaks out. The two defeat the pack of werewolves, but Terror is mortally wounded. Does the rookie have what it takes to do what needs to be done?
