Ret Romanne is from the Off World Base of U.N.topia, a world of surveillance cameras, monitoring, and investigation under the eyes of ‘Destinies Designed Corporation.’ Pat Riot, Operations Manager at the Corporation may have something to do with Ret’s demise as a successful test pilot and his being the partner of Glenda. At least, Ret thinks so. Once Glenda was a starlet in the making, but now she works in the Diner at the end of the road where Ret lives. After his crash, the couple fell apart, and now Ret’s body still burns to this day!

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, The story of Ret Romanne; a time dignitary, guitar player, inventor, and oh yeh, builder of robots. A man who was changed and transformed after crashing an experimental aircraft.  A former top level test pilot with the world at his feet survives but even the best of the best at the Mutant Observatories Hospital couldn’t put him back together. A man burned on the inside and outside, but worst of all within. This is his story, a story of a future dystopia of Corporate control. Ret notices that fate and destiny are not the same, but his discovery of a time machine behind secret government doors changes everything…

Collectible Entertainment comment: “Ret Romanne” (2008) is an ill-fated title that was originally to have run for more than one issue and is therefore an incomplete story (last page ends with “To be continued…” >> see scan #13)… Nonetheless, Ret Romanne is still awesome science fiction from front cover to back. Recommended for any science fiction enthusiast… as well as super-cool artwork enthusiast. Check out the scans of the interior artwork. It’s good stuff.
