Description

Ripclaw                                                Comics Lot
Featuring Ripclaw’s 1st (1995) Mini-Series by Eric Silvestri & Brandon Peterson w/ an appearance by Cyberforce!  Awesome!!

Ripclaw was created by Marc Silvestri. Robert Bearclaw, also known as Ripclaw, is an American Indian super-hero who is affiliated with Cyberforce. After an encounter with the spirits of his ancestors which left him with mystic powers to take on animal like abilities. Not surprisingly, this fearsome character has little trouble finding trouble on his own, as this limited series proves. When not on the team, Bearclaw lives on his people’s reservation where he tries to live a peaceful life. That, of course, is an impossibility. The first story arc involves a rare mystical stone that empowers the holder with enormous powers. When in the right hands, the stone can perform wondrous tasks. When in the wrong hands, the stone can be warped into a dreadful weapon. Ripclaw is asked to recover the magic rock, which he agrees to do. The task puts him in competition with Doonongaes, a demon lord who also seeks the stone’s power.

Years later, something goes wrong at an archeological dig and then Ripclaw finds himself startled awake by his ringing telephone after just having had a terrible nightmare… concerning a Beast that has escaped from the Shadowlands, the dead inheriting the Earth, and… and a mysterious stone that ties it all together. Later that day, Ripclaw meets with a woman named Laura Moonsong who tells him that her father has gone missing from an archeological dig and needs his help. In a house, in upstate New York, a powerful demon named Doonongaes confronts and attacks an elderly man and young boy demanding “the stone”!! Later that night, Killjoy and Shadowblade pay the woman named Laura a visit and try to acquire her “stone” necklace… all of a sudden Laura changes into a super-powered meta-morph and a battle ensues with Ripclaw himself joining in by crashing through a window. Early the next morning, Ripclaw and Laura make their way to the archeological dig. Once there, they encounter an angry, evil presence…

Oehda explains to Ripclaw and Laura about the demon named Doonongaes and how he must be stopped. Elsewhere, at a nearby casino (which just happens to be on scared ground) demons attack. Later, while riding a motorcycle, Ripclaw explains to Laura that there are 4 stones and that one of them is in the necklace she wears and that the demon named Doonongaes wants to find them all… suddenly Killjoy and Shadowblade attack from a helicopter gunship. Ripclaw and Laura make it to a tunnel and separate with plans to rendezvous at a cabin by the lake. Killjoy confronts Laura and takes her “stone” necklace… Shadowblade confronts a vulnerable Ripclaw… and then members of Cyberforce show up to “save the day”. Riplcalw, Laura, and Cyberforce make their way to the home of Dagwanoentent, where the keeper of the “Windstone” lives. As they arrive, they find that they are too late… the demon named Doonongaes has already arrived and acquired the “Windstone” and is in the process of leaving…
