DC Comics Presents, Robin 3000, the first Robin Elseworlds story, and the first Elseworlds story told in two parts. In Elseworlds, super-heroes are taken from their usual settings and put into strange times and places – some that have existed, and others that can’t, couldn’t or shouldn’t exist. The result is stories that make characters who are as familiar as yesterday seem as fresh as tomorrow.

Another millennium, another world, but still the legend continues. In the centuries which followed the death of the original Batman, mankind has ventured to the stars and into the realm of genetic engineering. But fate turned against mankind when its genetically created lifeforms began mutating uncontrollably. Then out of blue, an alien race, the Skulp, appeared. They came as friends—offering to halt the mutations—but soon became the rulers of Earth. Bruce Wayne XIX, once a prisoner of the Skulp, revived the legacy of his legendary ancestor and began a fight against the aliens. Joined by his nephew Tom, they led the rebellion against the Skulp until the day they were cornered by Skulp warships. Bruce sacrificed his life to offer Tom—the new Robin—a chance to escape. And so, in the year 3000, Robin must carry on alone in the fight for man’s freedom.

Story/Spoilers
In book #1, It is the year 3000, and the Batman of that era lies dead. Civilization’s only remaining hope against the threat of the group known as the Skulp resides in the boy who survives the Dark Knight…if he can only prevail where his mentor failed. What will the Earth of 3000 A.D. be like…and how will its heroes cope with the otherworldly threats confronting it?

Finally in book #2, After the death of the Batman of 3000 A.D., that era’s Robin and his allies are captured by Batman’s killers, the Skulp, and tricked into helping their plot to control interplanetary civilizations.
