Robin Hood is the dashing gentry renowned for “robbing from the rich and giving to the poor” along with his band of Merry Men. Robin Hood’s heroic adventures continue to be widely represented in literature, films and television.
Now, with this 4 issue comic mini-series, Eternity Comics presents Robin Hood’s adventures in glorious Back & White. Robin Hood’s origin as an outlaw in Sherwood Forest is explored. His skills as a leader are developed as he gathers his band of Merry Men to oppose Prince John and his lackey the Sheriff of Nottingham at the time of Richard the Lionhearted’s absence from England during the Crusades.
Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Young Robin kills Sir Simon’s brother Thomas in a skirmish; Years later, Sir Simon is shocked to find that his brother’s murderer is now the fabled outlaw Robin Hood, whom the usurper Prince John has vowed to bring to justice.
Next in issue #2, As Sir Guy hunts down Robin, the outlaw adds Allan-a-Dale and Friar Tuck to his band; Learning that Marian is being held captive by the Sheriff, Robin and his men travel to free her.
Next in issue #3, Robin and his Merry Men rescue Marian from the Sheriff’s castle; Later, a disguised Robin wins an archery contest under the noses of Prince John and the Sheriff, which causes them to recognize him; In the fight to escape, Sir Guy kills Much the Miller.
Finally in issue #4, King Richard joins the Merry Men in disguise and they help him regain the throne from Prince John; Robin Hood is rewarded with a title and an estate and he and Marian are wed.
