You Better Watch Out! You Better Not Cry! Tonight’s The Night… You’re Gonna Die!
Eternity Comics presents, “Santa Claws”, a holiday tale of terror. It’s Christmas Eve and the magic is in the air. The local mall is filled with last-minute shoppers and children getting their last-minute requests to Santa. But there is more than just magic in the air as something sinister is about to overtake the mall and turn the holiday festivities into a nightmare before Christmas.
Story/Spoilers
In “Deck the Mall with Blood and Corpses!”, It’s Christmas Eve at the Claremont Mall and the holiday rush is on. The mall Santa steps out for a quick smoke and is slaughtered by a clawed demon who takes his Santa costume. The demon, now dressed as Santa returns to the mall… to the children. Chaos ensues and the “mall Santa” is taken to the mall owner. She reprimands him and the demon slaughters her. A mall store employee named Nicki witnesses the attack and the demon turns his murderous intent on her. She flees and runs into her boyfriend Randy. Nicki and Randy plan on escaping the locked mall by breaking into a hardware store at the mall and getting some bolt cutters to cut the chains that are locking the mall doors. At the hardware store they are startled by a mall security guard. They quickly tell him of the deadly Santa, but he thinks that they are pranking him. He tells them to stay in his office so he can finish his rounds. He leaves his gun behind. While making his rounds, Security Steve sees that the mall is trashed out which leads him to the mall roof… where the demon Santa is waiting for him. Back at the security office, Nicki decides to take matters into her own hand and grabs the gun with the intent to kill the demon Santa. Nicki and Randy follow the same path as Security Steve which leads them to the mall roof. As Nicki makes her way to the roof, Randy is taken by the demon Santa. Alone, Nicki stares in terror as the demon Santa makes it way up the stairs to the roof. Nicki attempts to shoot the demon Santa, but the security guards gone is empty. Right as the demon is about to slaughter Nicki, the real Santa Claus shows up with a machine gun and blasts the demon over the side of the roof. The real Santa Claus reveals a secret to Nicki about the demon Santa. Nicki is reunited with Randy who is miraculously still alive. The real Santa departs to go deliver toys to the children.
