Presenting the sword-wielding Marvel Comics character Red Sonja, created by Roy Thomas, who first appeared in Marvel’s Conan the Barbarian series (#23) in 1973. The film’s character of Red Sonja was based on a Robert E. Howard character, Red Sonya of Rogatine, appearing in his short story “Shadow of the Vulture.” (1934).

Dynamite Entertainment presents an anthology dedicated to swords & sorcery. Savage Tales proudly features that Thief/Swordswoman/Adventurer, the red-headed she-devil Red Sonja, drinking and fighting her way through the Hyborian Age. Other regular sagas include “Battle for Atlantis,” tales of the lost continent of Atlantis, “Where Walks the Hunter,” a spin-off character from Red Sonja’s solo comic, and “The Elder Things that Fell to Earth,” set in H. P. Lovecraft’s C’Thulhu Mythos. Evil Sorcerers, Dark Gods and Ancient Heroes, this one, as they used to say, has it all… and did we mention Red Sonja! Awesome!!
