Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, “The Last Laugh?”, The story opens with Madame Xanadu revealing a dark fate waiting for the DC Universe. That fate is the demise of the Justice League and many of the other heroes, with villains rising up victorious. As the Phantom Stranger learns of the great danger facing the Earth, he enlists Scribblenauts; Maxwell and Lily to help. They travel to Gotham City and fight alongside the Batman family. But when the gang reaches Gotham City, what they find is even worse than what they imagined!
