“Who is ShadowHawk?”
ShadowHawk is the fast-paced series about a mysterious vigilante who leaves a trail of broken backs in the name of justice. The great question of the first ShadowHawk series was, “Who is ShadowHawk?” Creator Jim Valentino even held a contest in the letters column of that first series for the first person to correctly guess (and document) ShadowHawk’s secret identity.

When the crime rate is skyrocketing out of control, desperate solutions are required. The police have to be accountable to ethics and fair play where criminals aren’t; only a vigilante can set things right. The mysterious ShadowHawk has stepped out of the shadows to bring swift justice to criminals. He has a nasty habit of breaking the backs—literally—of those he deems worthy of punishment. That way, he figures, they’ll never menace innocents again. Some would say everyone’s entitled to a fair and just trial; others think ShadowHawk deserves a medal. Nevertheless, the mystery remains: who is ShadowHawk?
