Set in what its creators describe as a cross between 1930s Chicago and a futuristic Venice, Italy, “Shark-Man” tells the story of Tom Gaskill, the son of the utopia’s architect and a death-row prisoner falsely convicted of his father’s murder. With the help of a submarine designed to be the ocean’s greatest weapon, Tom manages to battle the dark forces of organized crime from within the bowels of his prison.

Finally in issue #3, Shark-Man must crush the most daring pirate raid yet, a stab into the very heart of his father’s floating city. His only hope of stopping the onslaught is to battle the pirates’ mysterious clan lord, the deadly Sea Witch. But if she doesn’t kill him, can he survive against the cannibal Gynplaine? Even from within the confines of the prison, Tom manages to battle the dark forces on the outside!
Finally in issue #2, Alan Gaskill, architect of New Venice City and secretly its protector, Shark-Man, is dead, murdered by the criminal known as Jonah, the Shadow-King. But Alan’s son Tom is arrested at the crime scene as a suspect in his father’s death. One year later, Tom Gaskill has been convicted for killing his father and as an accessory in the theft of billions of dollars from his father’s own bank. He is jailed for life in STYX, the Island based prison between New Venice City and the California coast. Meanwhile, the Sea-Witch, a new enforcer for a powerful crime syndicate, is making her presence felt, something that many are not happy about on both sides of the law.
