Shark-Man (Image & Thrill-House) Comics Lot
Set in what its creators describe as a cross between 1930s Chicago and a futuristic Venice, Italy, “Shark-Man” tells the story of Tom Gaskill, the son of the utopia’s architect and a death-row prisoner falsely convicted of his father’s murder. With the help of a submarine designed to be the ocean’s greatest weapon, Tom manages to battle the dark forces of organized crime from within the bowels of his prison.
Created and story by: Michael Town, Ronald Shusett & Steve Pugh
Script by: Ronald Shusett & Steve Pugh
Artist: Steve Pugh
Letterer: Steve Pugh
All Covers by: Steve Pugh
In issue #1, Utopia. The quest for it has destroyed the lives of many men. Alan Gaskill has created a beautiful new city, New Venice, at sea off the coast of California: a place with sun, with no crime and with no worries. But that is about to change. A cancer has slowly been growing inside the city, threatening its very existence. Alan won’t let that happen – he’s willing to put his life and those of his family at risk to stop it. Reprints material from the 2006 Thrill-House published series.
Next in issue #2, Blamed for the murder of his own father, Tom Gaskill rots in jail. Now he faces Gynplaine, a new inmate sent inside to kill him. Beneath the floating city of New Venice, Shark-Man faces the new enforcer for the mob, the Sea Witch. Do either of them know Tom Gaskill is Shark-Man? Reprints material from the 2006 Thrill-House published series.
Finally in issue #3, Shark-Man must crush the most daring pirate raid yet, a stab into the very heart of his father’s floating city. His only hope of stopping the onslaught is to battle the pirates’ mysterious clan lord, the deadly Sea Witch. But if she doesn’t kill him, can he survive against the cannibal Gynplaine? Reprints material from the 2006 Thrill-House published series.

Imagine 1930s Chicago crossed with a futuristic Venice, Italy. Tom Gaskill was falsely convicted of his father’s murder and the theft of the city’s wealth. Now he must protect New Venice City, the ocean city his father built, with the help of a submarine designed to be the ocean’s greatest weapon. Finally in issue #2, Alan Gaskill, architect of New Venice City and secretly its protector, Shark-Man, is dead, murdered by the criminal known as Jonah, the Shadow-King. But Alan’s son Tom is arrested at the crime scene as a suspect in his father’s death. One year later, Tom Gaskill has been convicted for killing his father and as an accessory in the theft of billions of dollars from his father’s own bank. He is jailed for life in STYX, the Island based prison between New Venice City and the California coast. Meanwhile, the Sea-Witch, a new enforcer for a powerful crime syndicate, is making her presence felt, something that many are not happy about on both sides of the law.
