Another classic tale of the Silver Surfer from the pen of Stan Lee, featuring art by the French National Treasure, Moebius. It begins when Galactus, the world-destroying near-deity brought his spaceship to Earth. He appeared before the masses, promising them a new rule of self-indulgence and pleasure if they would merely give their allegiance to him. Perhaps not surprisingly, the masses responded like sheep. Some even dared to use this as a steppingstone for their own ambitions, leading quasi-religious groups and claiming to represent Galactus. Amidst the chaos, one man decided it was time to come out of hiding and stand against Galactus. The Silver Surfer, once Galactus’ herald, had been living the life of an indigent until Galactus forced his hand. He challenged Galactus, invoking the vow Galactus had made to never attack the Earth. That was true enough, Galactus replied, but there was never a promise to not lead mankind to its own destruction.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, An enormous spaceship enters earth and the world is in fear. It lands and a creature who calls himself Galactus comes out. At first people are in fear and nobody dares to displease him. Earth is entirely without war or terrorism for a moment. A fake disciple steps up and tells how Galactus is the returning incarnation of the Messiah…

Finally in issue #2, Because there has been world peace since Galactus landed the disciple is believed, people start worshipping the creature from beyond and follow Galactus’ every word. Questioning nothing. The entire world is soon in a pseudo-religious chaos. The Silver Surfer decides to convince people to stop listening to Galactus. An ‘act against God’…
