Presented in Glorious Black & White.The demon Snowman was once an Indian, living in the 19th century. As a boy out hunting with his father, the boy got attacked by a bear and lost his left leg. It never stopped him from hunting however. As a married man, his wife bore him a daughter. One day, a white man came, talking of peace between the Indian tribe and his group. His chief accepted the peace treaty. Two weeks after the treaty, his brother-in-law went hunting in the open plains. There his brother-in-law discovered that the treaty was a lie when one of the white men shot him dead. His wife’s heart broke and he swore vengeance against the invaders.

Avatar Press takes over the publication of Matt Martins horror saga Snowman, about a malevolent Native American spirit that can control ice and snow. Snowman #0 recaps the previous storyline from Entity’s Snowman and Snowman 1944 series, before presenting the stand-alone story Unforgiven. The origin story of the deadly Snowman.

Story/Spoilers
In “Unforgiven”, it’s been some time since Gwynn Fiala and Jack McTiernan last encountered the deadly Snowman. Now Gwynn, looking to re-connect with Jack calls him. After some small talk, Jack tells Gwynn of how he was visited in the hospital by an indian with a tale to tell. The story of a past life with a tribe of Indians, the Oushua. The Oushua are brutally betrayed and slaughtered by the “white man”. A handicapped Indian finds his young daughter murdered and witnesses his wife get savagely raped and murdered. A black heart is born… with nothing but revenge to fill it. The handicapped Indian receives power from an ancient spirit through cursed crystals that transform the handicapped Indian into the deadly, vengeful, Snowman. A Native American spirit which has returned to avenge the genocide of his people. With nothing but hate, the Snowman kills!
