The Green Goblin takes to the skies once more!
Norman Osborn was a billionaire industrialist, obsessed with wealth and power. When a laboratory accident gave him superhuman strength, he used his new power to create a grotesque costumed identity… and set out to found a criminal empire! As the mentally addled Norman Osborn battles to strengthen his fragile grip on reality, he summons the will to once again plague the life of Peter Parker in one of the greatest Green Goblin stories of all time!
Months ago, in an attempt to gain potentially unlimited power, industrialist Norman Osborn, the original Green Goblin, gathered four other men to perform an ancient sorcerous ritual. Their actions, which also resulted in the accidental creation of the new Spider-Woman, left Norman completely insane. At long last, the powerful industrialist is regaining a semblance of sanity, but he is still obsessed with his long-time enemy Spider-Man. Unfortunately for the hero, Norman is also one of the few people that know Spider-Man is really photojournalist Peter Parker. Grieving the death of his beloved wife, Mary Jane, Spidey is at an emotional low that’s affecting his super-hero career as well as his personal life. Norman, of course, is delighted. He figures there’s no way Spider-Man can best the Green Goblin now, especially when Peter’s not even safe in his own home…
Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, “Madness takes a Toll!”, What has the Green Goblin been up to since his escape from the sanitarium, and what are his plans are for Peter Parker? What is the romantic side of the evil industrialist? How was Norman tormented in his grim childhood?
Next in issue #2, “Lives in the Balance!”, In his time, Norman Osborn has been many things: father, industrialist, tortured soul, and the sadistic super-villain known as the Green Goblin! He has cheated death, faced the madness of his own twisted psyche, and even found love. Now, once again at the top of his game, Norman is engineering the ultimate revenge upon his most hated foe, by striking right where the ever-amazing Spider-Man lives…
Finally in issue #3, “Surrender to the Dark”, Over the years, Spider-Man has defeated Norman Osborn again and again… now the winning streak ends! At long last, the Green Goblin stands triumphant…
