To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before.
Star Trek is an American space opera media franchise based on the science fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry. The first television series, simply called Star Trek and now referred to as “The Original Series”, debuted in 1966 and aired for three seasons on the television network NBC. It followed the interstellar adventures of Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) and his crew aboard the starship USS Enterprise, a space exploration vessel, built by the United Federation of Planets in the twenty-third century. The Star Trek canon of the franchise includes The Original Series, an animated series, five spin-off television series, the film franchise, and further adaptations in several media.
An all-new adventure continuing one of the all-time classic Star Trek TV episodes! Return again to the parallel reality where the Federation was not created by a coalition of peaceful planets, but by war-like ones and where the Klingons are even more violent! Confused? Just think “Star Trek meets the Age of Apocalypse”! In this self-contained special, Spock leads a mutiny on the U.S.S. Enterprise and demands the execution of Captain Kirk! Why? Find out in a life-and-death struggle that will leave only one standing!

Touted as a sequel to the original television episode, “Mirror, Mirror,” this one-shot is a worthy addition to the Star Trek legend. Captain Kirk pronounced the ideology of the Empire as illogical before returning to the appropriate universe. Thus, this is where the original story concluded and this one-shot begins. Under normal circumstances the Enterprise crew are models of integrity and morality. However, in the parallel universe, one observes that the same characters routinely utilize ambition and treachery without remorse. For example, Marlena’s expedient alliance to ensure her position as the captain’s consort and Spock’s deft manipulation of the crew are classic Machiavellian traits. Further complicating the situation is a Klingon war party acting as a hungry pack of wolves searching for easy prey, more precisely, unwary Empire starships.
Story/Spoilers
In the Mirror Universe, the ruthless Mister Spock arrests Captain Kirk for failure to obey an order, even though he knows Kirk was temporarily transported to a parallel universe and replaced by his counterpart. Marlena betrays Kirk by giving Spock the secret of the destructive Tantalus Field, which Spock uses to obliterate a Klingon fleet. Kirk, Sulu, and Uhura work to overthrow Spock, but the Vulcan triumphs and kills Kirk, permanently winning the command for himself.
