A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise centered on a film series created by George Lucas. The film series began with Star Wars, released on May 25, 1977. This was followed by two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, 1983. The more than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005, Then Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released on December 18, 2015; Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released on December 18, 2017. Star Wars: And Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019.
The miniseries follows the Imperial Intelligence agent Jahan Cross and his droid IN-GA 44 whose undercover assignments for the Empire take them across the galaxy to exotic locales, filled with danger and intrigue.
Now, Dark Horse Comics presents, Star Wars: Agent of the Empire – Iron Eclipse. Move over James Bond! The name’s Cross. Jahan Cross. There’s a new secret agent in the galaxy, and he has the weight of the Empire behind him! Cross’s mission takes him and his assistant IN-GA 44 to the affluent Corporate Sector. There, on the trail of stolen droid technology, they will rub elbows with diplomats and desperadoes, captains of industry and sergeants of the local police—and rub most of them the wrong way!
Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Imperial power is at its height. With Palpatine on the throne and his chief enforcer, Darth Vader, leading fleets of Star Destroyers and legions of stormtroopers across the galaxy, the Empire is an unstoppable force for order and peace. But not every political problem requires military might; not every negotiation depends on a show of force. Sometimes all diplomacy needs to succeed is the right man, in the right place, with the willingness to get the job done. No matter what it takes. Meet Jahan Cross, agent of the Empire…
Next in issue #2, Undercover as a diplomatic attaché, Imperial agent Jahan Cross continues his investigation into the stolen droid technology and the mysterious project known as ‘Iron Eclipse.’ At an elegant embassy soirée in the Corporate Sector, Cross locks his sights on the Stark family. Before the evening is over, more than one player will be out of the game-and Cross will be wanted for murder!
The Galactic Empire, a force of peace and order against corruption and chaos, is always quick to deal with treachery or hints of intrigue. Imperial Agent Jahan Cross is one of their best. While investigating classified droid devices being sold on the black market, Cross and his droid, IN-GA 44, found connections to the Stark Family. Owners of a droid factory, the Starks are major purchasers of the devices, and are working on a secret project known as “Iron Eclipse.” Cross arrived in the Corporate Sector and immediately ran into Han Solo, a former schoolmate. After Cross helped Han and Chewbacca out of a jam, Han owes him a favor, and there’s a party to attend where he’ll meet all the players…
Next in issue #3, Framed for a murder he didn’t commit, Imperial Agent Jahan Cross is on the run from Corporate Sector authorities, and uncovering the secrets behind the mysterious ‘Iron Eclipse’ project-all without the assistance of his missing droid, IN-GA 44. But Cross is not entirely without allies, because he knows these two smugglers with a very fast ship…
Imperial Agent Jahan Cross and his droid IN-GA 44 follow a trail of black-market droid devices to the Corporate Sector, specifically to wealthy industrialist Iaculyn Stark – son of the Iaco Stark, the man who, thirty years ago, plunged the civilized galaxy into chaos with the Stark Hyperspace War. Before his death, the elder Stark had constructed something called “Eclipse” near the gas giant Reltooine. According to the widow Dah’lis Stark, it was to be an antigravity resort, which she would have completed had her stepson not forbidden it. When Dah’lis was murdered, Cross became the prime suspect. Stark’s daughter Elli helped Jahan evade custody but with “Igna” stolen by Iaculyn, Cross must escape on his own…
Next in issue #4, So far tonight, Jahan Cross has been ‘killed,’ has entered into a ‘marriage’ of convenience with the sister of his enemy, and has had a knock-down, drag-out fight with a murderous droid. Now he’s onboard the Millennium Falcon and headed for an obvious trap! All in a night’s work for an agent of the Empire!
Undercover in the Corporate Sector as a “diplomatic envoy” to track illegal trade in the Imperial technology, agent Jahan Cross has been framed for the murder of Dah’lis Stark – widow of rogue industrialist Iaco Stark. Escaping custody with assistance from Iaco’s daughter Elli, Cross made a deal with his old friend Han Solo for a ride to a half-completed orbital resort called “Eclipse” – a name that has come up during investigations. Acquiring the funds to pay Solo, Cross discovered a traitor within the Imperial Embassy. After dealing with the traitor, Cross staged his own dramatic death to throw off the local law-enforcement officers. Free from his pursuers, Cross seeks one more piece of information – requiring him to sneak back inside the Stark estate…
Finally in issue #5, Jahan Cross finally learns the truth about the deadly project called ‘Iron Eclipse.’ Now all he has to do is defeat the crazed mastermind behind it all, keep his allies from double-crossing him, and escape the Corporate Sector with his life!
Agent Jahan Cross, in the Corporate Sector to investigate the smuggling of Imperial technology, thus far has been framed for a murder, been forced to kill a traitor to the Empire, and had to fake his own death. At last, with the reluctant help of smugglers, Han Solo and Chewbacca, and the assistance of Elli Stark – daughter of long-dead industrialist Iaco Stark – Cross reached his target: a half completed orbital resort known as Eclipse. There he discovered that Elli’s half-brother Iaclyn was working in league with their father-his still-living head joined to the body of a deadly spider droid – creating a technovirus which will bring all droids under their control! Now, even Cross’s own droid, IN-GA 44, is trying to kill him…
