A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise centered on a film series created by George Lucas. The film series began with Star Wars, released on May 25, 1977. This was followed by two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, 1983. The more than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005, Then Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released on December 18, 2015; Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released on December 18, 2017. Star Wars: The Last Jedi, released on December 18, 2017. And Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019.
Marvel Comics presents a tale of Han Solo in his early days with the Rebel Alliance. Introduced in Star Wars (1977), when he and his co-pilot Chewbacca accept a charter request to transport Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, and R2-D2 from Tatooine to Alderaan on their ship, the Millennium Falcon. When they arrive at Alderaan, however, they discover that the planet has been destroyed. The Millennium Falcon is then captured and held within the Death Star, a moon-sized battle station constructed by the Empire. Within the Death Star, they discover that Princess Leia Organa is a prisoner on board. They rescue Princess Leia, escape the Death Star, and later as part of the Rebel Alliance they destroy the Death Star… and continue to fight and resist the Empire.
Now… a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… Han Solo! Between the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, Han is given a top-secret undercover mission for the Rebellion – rescuing a number of informants and spies. His cover for the assignment? Compete in the Dragon Void… only the biggest and most infamous starship race in the galaxy – to find a traitor within the Rebellion! The race is something Han has dreamt of winning his entire life. Will he keep his mind on the mission? And can he manage to pull it off while keeping the lead?
Story/Spoilers
In part #1, It is a period of unrest. In a galaxy oppressed by the Empire’s unrelenting brutality, there is little hope for change. Nonetheless, rebels have banded together to fight back against such corruption. While the Rebellion grows in power, Imperials fight to crush any hope for an overthrow. With the Empire’s hands full, the opportunities for crime are endless. Han Solo has taken a step back from the rebel cause, returning his focus to what he does best – smuggling. Untrusting by nature, he’s skeptical of any who cross his path. Unfortunately for him, he cannot stay under the radar forever…
Next in part #2, Princess Leia approaches Han Solo with an offer too good to refuse, so Han finds himself once again working for the Rebellion alongside his co-pilot, Chewbacca. His mission is racing the Millennium Falcon in one of the most notorious races in the galaxy, the Dragon Void, as a cover to find a mysterious rebel spy who may have turned traitor. But with the race’s explosive start, Han discovers he may be in for more than he bargained for…
Next in part #3, After a deadly start, Han is one of just four pilots remaining in the race – until the Empire steps in and arrests them all…
Next in part #4, After a deadly start to the race, Han finds the informant, a rebel spy named Bot, and brings him aboard the Falcon. But when Han finds the next target, he quickly discovers that Chewbacca and the mysterious rebel spy have an old score to settle…
Finally in part #5, After a series of close run-ins with the Empire, all three Alliance informants – and potential suspects – are now aboard the Falcon. Now, Han must discover the identity of the spy while completing the race – but the traitor has already started killing…
