A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise centered on a film series created by George Lucas. The film series began with Star Wars, released on May 25, 1977. This was followed by two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, 1983. The more than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005, Then Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released on December 18, 2015; Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released on December 18, 2017. And Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019.
And Now, Marvel Comics presents, Untold adventures of a young Han Solo! How does a thief, accustomed to the chaos of back-alley brawls, adjust to the order and discipline of the Imperial Navy? Not very well! And Han’s dream of becoming a pilot is quickly grounded when he realizes he may not even survive basic training. After a wild sequence of events lands him in the brig overnight, Han is given one last shot at flight school. But will he be top gun – or will he crash and burn? And who is his mysterious rival, ripped from the pages of classic Star Wars comics? Plus: Han enters real combat for the first time, but will taking a little hard-earned R&R at a casino prove to be even more dangerous? Never tell him the odds. Additionally, there is a Tobias Beckett story (canon) set prior to the film Solo: A Star Wars Story.

In part #1, Han Solo escapes Corellia by joining the Imperial Navy, vowing to return for Qi’ra. But how does a thief used to the chaos of the streets adjust to the order and discipline of the military? Not well! Han’s dream of becoming a pilot is quickly grounded as he realizes he may not even survive basic training!
Next in part #2, After spending a night in the brig, Han Solo is given one last shot at flight school… Will Han be top gun, or will he crash and burn? Crash and burn if one of his top competitors gets his way! This mysterious rival is ripped from the pages of Classic Star Wars Comics!
Next in part #3, Han Solo gets demoted for insubordination – dragging his fellow cadets down with him. They go from flying TIE fighters to flying a giant cargo ship. Han’s expert flying cuts their cargo ship’s flight time in half, allowing them to stop at a casino for some hard-earned R&R. But Han’s fellow cadets quickly learn this little “vacation” was not authorized by the Empire and, thanks to Han, they’re all considered Awol!
Next in part #4, The training wheels are off as Han Solo and his fellow cadets head into real combat warfare! In the chaos of battle, will Han take a chance to slip the bonds of the Empire? Or will he risk his freedom and his life to help a fellow cadet left behind enemy lines?
Finally in part #5, Han Solo and his fellow cadets risk their lives to save one of their own. But not all of them will be coming back from this mission… And even if Han survives, will the Empire throw him in the brig or worse?

Star Wars: Beckett #1 is a Star Wars canon one-shot comic book set prior to the film Solo: A Star Wars Story.
The Good, The Bad and The Deadly! Tobias Beckett taught Han Solo everything he knows about surviving hoodlum-filled cantinas and backwater worlds. But who is this career outlaw and why is Enfys Nest – one of the galaxy’s most dangerous and brutal marauders – so dead set on taking him down once and for all? Find out in this original tale of a man who has gamed star system after star system, but at a cost that no heist can make up for.
Story/Spoilers
In part #1, “The Man in Black”, We see Beckett walk in as a shadowy figure as Rio is playing Neerok. It’s an easy take as they just scare everyone off and take the credits. However, it is fun to see Beckett play the “evil wizard” as Rio calls him. They also try to add to the take as they go after Dvorad and actually find his ship.
Next in part #2, “To Live and Die on Hovun IV”, The crew finding Dvorad’s ship and Beckett decides that he’s going to go in for the other score. After some nice action sequences, we see him barely make it out. Val is a bit worried about how close they cut it with that one. At the end, she also mentions responding to a transmission from Dryden Vos.
Finally in part #3, “You and the Bantha You Rode in on”, Enfys Nest tries to Beckett and his crew into thinking the transmission was from Dryden. Nest doesn’t get what she came for as Beckett blows up the ship and they then slip away from the Stormtroopers who show up.
