Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise centered on a film series created by George Lucas.  The film series began with Star Wars, released on May 25, 1977. This was followed by two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, 1983. Then more than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005; and finally the epic saga concluded with Star Wars: The Force Awakens released on December 18, 2015; Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released on December 18, 2017. And Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019.

The Star Wars: Purge is a series of one-shot comics featuring Darth Vader as he brings death to the remaining Jedi who survived the brunt of Order 66. His legend grows as he roots out Jedi, crushing their lives, their hopes, and all memory of their kind from the civilizations that now bow to the Galactic Empire.

And now, Dark Horse Comics presents a thrilling entry into the Purge series: “Star Wars: Purge – Seconds To Die”. Order 66 triggered the era of the Empire. As the Republic secured a victory over the Separatists, Jedi on every battlefield of the Clone Wars were attacked by their own troops. Those few who escaped the purge were forced into hiding. But one young survivor of the attack on the Jedi Temple is through with hiding. She has decided to act. If she can kill Vader and take his place beside Palpatine, there is a chance to save the galaxy. It is a chance to live – but if she fails, she will have only seconds to die…

Story/Spoilers
After Order 66, the Jedi purge led by the dark and fearsome Sith Lord Darth Vader, most of the remaining Jedi are hiding to survive – but not all. Sha Koon, niece of the esteemed Plo Koon, has narrowly escaped the attack on the Jedi Temple, and has been left full of questions about the dark side. Sha Koon will not hide; she will find another way to continue being a Jedi – one that will place her directly in the path of Darth Vader and the Emperor!
