A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise centered on a film series created by George Lucas. The film series began with Star Wars, released on May 25, 1977. This was followed by two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, 1983. Then more than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005; and finally the epic saga concluded with Star Wars: The Force Awakens released on December 18, 2015; Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released on December 18, 2017. Star Wars: The Last Jedi, released on December 18, 2017. And Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019.
Dark Horse Comics presents Star Wars: Rebel Heist. When the Rebel Alliance’s newest recruits are teamed with its greatest heroes to hatch a plot and pull off a heist right under the noses of the Empire’s finest… all does not go as planned!
Story/Spoilers
In issue #1B, “Follow My Lead and You Just Might Get Out Alive.”, The Rebellion’s victory at the battle of Yavin made heroes of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, and Luke Skywalker. In the aftermath they have become leaders within the Rebel Alliance – at the forefront of its most dangerous missions. But for the Alliance to remain strong, it must bring on new recruits – and train those recruits to be prepared for all the Empire might throw at them. Sometimes it is even necessary to drop recruits into the middle of a mission so they can learn on the job…under fire. In those situations, pairing them with an experienced operative will allow them to survive the mission and gain the confidence to complete the next one on their own. Or so the Alliance hopes…
Next in issue #2B, “All You Need to do at this Point is Cover Me.”, The Rebellion’s victory at the battle of Yavin made heroes of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, and Luke Skywalker. In the aftermath they have become leaders within the Rebel Alliance – at the forefront of its most dangerous missions. On a recent mission, Han Solo and Jan, a new recruit for the Rebellion, were captured by the Empire near one of Corellia’s moons. To Jan’s dismay, Solo’s attempt to escape from the low-security installation ended badly, and Han was beaten and placed in a high-security holding cell. While Solo languishes in prison, an even more dangerous mission for the Rebellion is underway on the planet Feddasyr. But this time, the operative is capable, experienced – and used to working alone…
Next in issue #3B, “RAWWR-AAAAHHH!”, On a recent mission, Han Solo and Jan, a new recruit for the Rebellion, were captured by the Empire near one of Corellia’s moons. Solo’s attempt to escape from the low security installation ended badly, and Han was beaten and place in a high-security holding cell. Meanwhile, on the planet Feddasyr, with the help of the operative Sarin, Princess Leia went undercover to retrieve a secret code – and ended up with a stormtrooper who held the necessary information in his DNA. While delivering the trooper to his transport, Leia was captured by the Empire, and Sarin completed the mission on her own. The trooper isn’t safe yet, but he’s on the way to his next point of contact for the Rebellion…
Finally in issue #4B, “I’m Just a Concerned Citizen.”, Han Solo, and Jan, a new recruit for the Rebellion, were captured by the Empire near one of Corellia’s moons. Solo’s attempt to escape from a low-security installation ended with him being placed in a high-security holding cell. On the planet Feddasyr, with operative Sarin, Princess Leia retrieved a secret code – a stormtrooper who held the information in his DNA. When Leia was captured by the Empire, Sarin’s sister delivered the trooper to his next contact: Chewbacca. Chewbacca and the trooper successfully unlocked the code and sent the information to the imprisoned Han Solo. But now they too are imprisoned – in a rancor pit. Still, there is one more Rebel out there who might save the day…
