Then more than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005; and finally the epic saga concluded with Star Wars: The Force Awakens released on December 18, 2015; Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released on December 18, 2017. Star Wars: The Last Jedi, released on December 18, 2017. And Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019.
Dark Horse Comics presents the epic tie-in to LucasArts’ Starfighter video game. Star Wars: Starfighter – Crossbones is a limited series featuring the intimidating pirate captain Nym, the rowdy alien mercenary, from LucasArts’ Starfighter video game in his own solo adventure. Will the notorious pirate, freebooter, and soldier of fortune: the green-skinned outlaw known only as Nym ally himself with the Trade Federation that he hates to defeat their common foe, Sol Sixxa—if for no other reason than so that he can destroy the Trade Federation himself?
Now… a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… Star Wars: Starfighter – Crossbones. Six years after the Battle of Naboo as chronicled in Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace, the greedy Trade Federation is still crushing worlds beneath its capitalist boot. But a new scourge threatens both the Federation and the rest of the Old Republic. Sol Sixxa, an unpredictable criminal who has been destroying Federation personnel and property. Enter Nym, soldier of fortune, and his rag-tag band of fighters commissioned to find and kill Sol Sixxa… which they will gladly do… along with their own mysterious self-servings plans…
Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, The story begins six years after the Battle of Naboo and Nym is down and out on Rodia. In the hopes of earning some quick credits, Nym agrees to hunt down Sol Sixxa, a pirate terrorizing the watery world of Maramere. But first, Nym must lead a rag-tag Rodian tribe to victory in a violent clan war…
Next in issue #2, After accepting a mission to hunt down the deadly pirate Sol Sixxa, Nym travels to the planet Maramere—located in the heart of a massive Trade Federation operation. After dodging the Trade Federation, Nym does a bit of wreck diving in Maramere’s watery depths, searching for clues to Sol Sixxa’s whereabouts…
Finally in issue #3, In the conclusion of the three-part series, mercenary alien Nym confronts the murderous villain Sol Sixxa in an epic ship-to-ship battle on the oceans of Maramere. High-seas action, Star Wars-style, culminates in a fight to the death. But when the Trade Federation arrives, will either pirate survive?
