A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise centered on a film series created by George Lucas. The film series began with Star Wars, released on May 25, 1977. This was followed by two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, 1983. Then more than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005; and finally the epic saga concluded with Star Wars: The Force Awakens released on December 18, 2015; Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released on December 18, 2017. And Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019.
Spiker took a blaster bolt during the mad rush for Han Solo’s carbonite-frozen body on the salt flats near Jabba’s Palace. Big Gizz was crowned by Jix down in Beggar’s Canyon. But swoop scum are made of tougher stuff… or maybe they’re just too stupid to stay down!
Dark Horse Comics presents, “Star Wars: The Jabba Tape”. With Jabba the Hutt dead, a swarm of greedy Hutt relatives descend on Tatooine ready to claim their piece of Jabba’s vast criminal empire. But Big Gizz and Spiker, Jabba’s swoop-riding thugs, have their own agenda for a hidden ship full of Jabba’s most precious art treasures. Unfortunately, the ship is protected with a security program modelled on Jabba himself!
Story/Spoilers
Young Luke Skywalker did away with Jabba the Hutt, some of his henchmen managed to survive. Namely, a couple of swoop bike pilots called Spiker and Big Gizz. Big Gizz has a line on some treasure that Jabba has hidden away: a starship named “The Spirit of Jabba”, supplied and well-armed, to be used as a getaway ship if Jabba was ever killed. The duo go off in search of the ship, with the intent to become space pirates. However, Jabba’s disgruntled relatives are after it as well, but for different reasons. Reasons being the Mendacian funerary urns in the cargo hold, which date back to the early Krung Dynasty.
