A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise centered on a film series created by George Lucas.  The film series began with Star Wars, released on May 25, 1977. This was followed by two sequels: The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, 1983. The more than two decades after the release of the original film, the series continued with a prequel trilogy; consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, released on May 19, 1999; Episode II: Attack of the Clones, released on May 16, 2002; and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, released on May 19, 2005, Then Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released on December 18, 2015;  Star Wars: The Last Jedi was released on December 18, 2017. Star Wars: The Last Jedi, released on December 18, 2017. And Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released on December 20, 2019.

Star Wars: TIE Fighter is a canon comic book miniseries which takes place between Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, focuses on Shadow Wing, a group of elite TIE fighter pilots.

Now, Marvel Comics presents, TIE Fighter! Enter Shadow Wing – the Empire’s salvation, and the Rebellion’s doom! As the war between the rebels and the Galactic Empire stretches on, it’s the innocent people of the galaxy who are most at risk. An elite squadron of TIE fighter pilots is assembled to help protect Imperial interests – and hammer the Emperor’s fury down upon the treasonous and violent Rebel Alliance. But how far is this untested team willing to go to preserve law and order? Are the pilots of Shadow Wing as loyal to the Empire as they seem? And on a dangerous mission to deal a devastating blow to the Rebellion, will any of them survive the fight? TIE fighter is a tale that chronicles the struggles and triumphs of the heroes of the Empire in the last days of civil war – but what about the heroes of the Rebellion?

In issue #1, Enter Shadow Wing! The Empire’s Salvation! The Rebellion’s Doom! As the war against the Rebellion stretches on, it is the innocent people of the Galactic Empire who are most at risk. An elite squadron of TIE fighter pilots is assembled to help protect Imperial interests and hammer the Emperor’s fury down upon the treasonous and violent Rebel Alliance. But how far is this untested team willing to go to preserve law and order? And are the pilots of Shadow Wing as loyal to the Empire as they seem?

“The Shadow Falls” Part 1,
The Empire’s glorious victory at the Battle of Hoth has all but smashed the pitiful Rebel Alliance, whose dwindling forces now scatter and flee before the might of the Imperial war machine. Soon, peace will be restored to the galaxy and the feared TIE Fighter pilots of Shadow Wing will be the ones to secure victory for the Emperor!

Next in issue #2, Betrayal Among The Ranks! The TIE Fighter pilots of Shadow Wing come under fire from what appear to be their fellow Imperials! Has the influence of The Rebellion stretched further than anticipated? Or is there something more sinister at work?

The Empire has all but smashed the pitiful Rebel Alliance, whose dwindling forces now scatter and flee before the might of the Imperial war machine. But the elite pilots of Shadow Wing have just been ambushed and attacked by a thought-to-be-disabled Star Destroyer they were tasked with saving. Now an entire fleet of their fellow TIE Fighters descend upon them for the killing blow…

Next in issue #3, The Net Closes! The traitors of the Rebel Alliance have made their presence known! Will the heroes of the EMPIRE be able to salvage the mission and save the day? And at what cost?

“The Shadow Falls” Part 3,
The Empire has all but smashed the struggling Rebel Alliance, whose dwindling forces have scattered before the might of the Imperial war machine. When tasked with retrieving a disabled Star Destroyer near a strategically important mining facility, the elite TIE fighter pilots of Shadow Wing were captured by what they thought were desperate rebel forces. But they soon discovered the facility had been taken over by a rogue Imperial admiral who has asked them to join his defection. Shadow Wing would rather not…and now that they’ve escaped their captors, they need their ships to warn the Empire and take revenge on the former Imperials who betrayed them!

Next in issue #4, A New Mission! A betrayal from one of their own! Is the squadron even ready to fly again after so many losses? And who are these new pilots who think they’re good enough to join the ranks of Shadow Wing?

“The Shadow Falls” Part 4,
Squadron Five, tasked with restoring a Star Destroyer to Imperial control, was taken prisoner by Admiral Gratloe. Orchestrating an escape, the squad attempted to seize the ship before prospective Rebel buyers arrived. However, as battle ensued between Imperial and Rebel forces, Squadron Five gained control of the ship…but not before losing Lyttan and Zin to enemy fire!

Finally in issue #5, The Empire Strikes! The mission is to deal a devastating blow to The Rebellion. Can the squadron come together in time to complete the mission? And will any survive the fight?

“The Shadow Falls” Part 5,
The war against the Rebel Alliance has stretched even the resources of the mighty Galactic Empire thin. It was crucial that Squadron Five accomplish their most recent mission to recapture a Star Destroyer from a traitorous Imperial admiral despite losing two of their own in the process. One of those killed in action–Zin– was revealed to have been a rebel informant! Using this intel, Shadow Wing has tracked down the mobile rebel base responsible for not only Zin’s betrayal but a slew of defections. Word from Imperial brass is that the Rebellion’s days are now officially numbered. Shadow Wing is ready to do their part and destroy the base…but their newest recruits haven’t yet tasted battle…
