Story/Spoilers
Immediately following the Battle of Endor, Grand Moff Nivers moves to take Tandankin under his governership. His time on Tandankin soil lasts for but a day, though, thanks to the heroics of Wedge Antilles and Rogue Squadron. Seeing a way to quickly cut Nivers’ legs out from under him, Wedge targets a huge tower on the planet surface and makes it fall on Nivers’ tie-fighter base. With his fleet effectively decommissioned by the act, and resupply impossible, Nivers quits the planet. Unfortunately for Wedge, the “tower” that he destroyed was an artifact of extreme cultural significance to the locals. They demand his head. Indeed, they are preparing to lynch him, when another pilot suddenly speaks up for Wedge. Yes, the mysterious pilot admits, they’ve lost an important part of their culture, but at least that culture remains free, thanks to the “great hero of the Galactic Civil War”, Wedge Antilles. The point is conceded by the Tandankians. Antilles is given their thanks as a young child asks the pilot to remove his helmet. When he does, the crowd is amazed to discover that it’s none other than the famous Jedi Knight, Luke Skywalker.
