Description
Stupidman: Rain on the Stupidmen Comics Lot
Includes full color, full page artwork pieces of each Stupidman variant by Mac Myers. Awesome!!
Writer: Mac Myers
Artists: Mac Myers, John Fang, Jonathan Hathaway & Roy Burdine
Letterer: Marc Schwartzs
Editor: Raymond E.
All Covers by: Mac Myers
This four-part black-and-white series from Parody Press, writer Mac Myers, and artist Roy Burdine is a dead-on spoof of DC Comics’ Superman media blitz of the mid-1990s and the multi-part, multi-covered “Reign of the Supermen” storyline. Here, Stupidman dies and comes back as the “flavor of the month” super-hero, generating enough doppelgangers to accommodate whatever new trends that may crop up in comics. Each part in this series introducing a new variation of Stupidman.
Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, The first Stupidman introduced is a hybrid crossover with the Punisher (or Pummeler in the Parody Press universe). Wielding an immense amount of firearms, he goes on a tear shooting anybody who questions him or gives him issues. He is confronted by a new Stupidman at the end…
Next in issue #2, The next Stupidman is a handsome city slicker with a sense of style. The Punisher Superman dislikes him and they immediately get into a fight. Later on, they meet up with Stupidgirl and end up engaging the Rex Men. Their fight is interrupted by yet another Stupidman…
Next in issue #3, Tin-Man Stupidman joins the fray! The Punisher Stupidman takes on Rex Ruthless, and then immediately after fights the new Tin-Man Stupidman in a tournament style fist fight. After defeating Tin-Man Stupidman, Punisher Stupidman is about to binge drink liquor when he is zapped by the final Stupidman…
Finally in issue #4, An all-out battle ensues between Xenomorph Stupidman and the Punisher Stupidman. It is revealed that the Xenomorph Stupidman is actually a shapeshifter that can change into a near infinite number of forms. The now Shapeshifter Stupidman unleashes a lengthy combo ending in an impersonation of Gloomsday, which gives the Punisher Stupidman a heart attack. Shapeshifter Stupidman declines the job of becoming the new official Stupidman, and so the saga continues with numerous Stupidmen constantly appearing.
