Subspecies is an American, direct-to-video, horror film series produced by Full Moon Studios. The series ran from 1991 to 1998, and followed the exploits of brother vampires; Radu & Vladislas. Subspecies proved to be a success, and the film’s cult status has led to the production of five films, which included a spin-off.

Now, Eternity Comics proudly presents… All New Adventures based on the hit 1991 vampire movie, Subspecies… Creatures of the Night!

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, “Blood Feud”, When Vampire King Vladislas reveals to his son Stefan the tale of how he was tricked into siring the hellish Radu, he is unaware that at that very moment Radu – out to steal the legendary stone that drips the blood of the saints – has assembled an army to besiege the Castle Kronescu and eliminate any competition for the Bloodstone!

Next in issue #2, “Blood Brothers”, When King Valdislas told his son Stefan about his hell-spawned half-brother, the demon Radu, Stefan took it upon himself to seek out Radu and destroy him before he could come and claim King Valdislas’ throne. In the meantime, Mariah and her father have been abducted by Radu and his army. Radu sentences them both to death, but not before Mariah’s father offers to tell Radu where the legendary Bloodstone is kept. Radu kills her father anyway, but Stefan manages to rescue Mariah.

Next in issue #3, “Blood Bath”, Stefan has set out on his own and taken on Radu’s army alone. Meanwhile, back at the Castle Kronescu, King Valdislas has summoned his own army of vampires to defend the townfolk.

Finally in issue #4, “Blood Oath”, King Valdislas’ army has done a successful job of fighting off Radu’s Turkish army, while still alone out in the wilds, Stefan and Radu have engaged in their own hand-to-hand fight. The battle ends with only Stefan left alive, and the fate of Kronescu’s undead population still hanging in the balance.
