Three days ago, U.S. Antarctic Research Outpost #31 discovered an alien organism out on the frozen ice. Almost immediately, this ghastly organism had begun to infect the outpost’s men, assuming their forms and identities as it killed them. Its eventual goal: to find transportation to a warmer – and more densely populated area.

Yesterday, the final survivors of Outpost #31 had thought they had destroyed the organism – this “Thing From Another World” – although ten of their number had died in the process. Only two men were still alive… but there was still the question of whether one of them had been infected by the Thing. There was still a chance that they might be rescued before the icy cold claimed their lives… but if either of them still harbored the organism, who would save their rescuers?

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, MacReady is certain he’s going to die. But he doesn’t care as long as he can destroy the frozen remains of the Thing before he freezes to death.

Finally in issue #2, MacReady and Childs against an alien life form that could be inside anyone!
