This story commences where The Tick’s Massive Double Spectacle #1 and 2 concluded. The leaders of the island nation of Van Buria are grateful to the Tick and his super-hero friends for defeating the invading super-villains. As a reward, the Van Burians provide the super-heroes with a free cruise ship vacation. But the supposedly relaxing cruise vacation rapidly becomes a comedic horror show as the oceangoing heroes encounter danger after danger such as: bickering lords of the sea seeking female companionship that happen to be bloodthirsty pirates, a hostile (what else) giant octopus and Bert, the head chef!

Story/Spoilers
The Tick, Arthur, and their super-teammates “go to sea” in this ocean-going special issue packed with non-stop action and excitement! This story commences where The Tick’s Massive Double Summer Specials left off. But it can be read all on its own! The leaders of the island of Van Buria are grateful to The Tick and his super-hero friends for defeating the super-villains who were invading their small country. So they award the heroes a cruise-ship vacation as a “thank you.” But the cruise vacation rapidly becomes a horror show as the oceangoing heroes run into danger after danger: hostile submarines, giant squid monsters, bloodthirsty pirates, and more! Can The Tick “captain” his way back home to the city?
