Story/Spoilers
In the story, “Gods Never Die!”, the future… the year 2997 A.D., a man seeking refuge from the bitter cold happens into an abandoned government facility and makes an unexpected discovery… Thor -The Rock Warrior frozen in a block of ice. After Thor is released from his frozen imprisonment and he is told, “The world has changed much since the old gods walked the earth, master… there is a new evil afoot born of an enchantresses’ strange magic far to the south.” Thor then sets out to confront the enchantress and runs afoul of some sub-humans mysteriously sent to intercept him. After Thor vanquishes the attackers, an enigmatic ice wizard named Gabor Zsa appears and brings word, … and a vision of the evil sorceress named Pantera that Thor must confront. With a warning, Thor is soon off to distant lands to his inevitable battle with the sorceress and her sub-human minions. Along the way Thor encounters friends and foes… allies and enemies, but his path will not be deterred. Finally, as Thor battles his way through the sorceress’s sub-human warriors, the sorceress cries out, “Release the Giant!” and Thor finds himself in a real battle.
