Pacific Comics presents a science fiction / horror anthology in three glorious dimensions! Reminiscent of EC’s Weird Science series, with dark humor and twist endings, “Three Dimensional Alien Worlds” was written by industry legend, Bruce Jones and filled with detailed artwork by Jim Sullivan, Dave Stevens, John Bolton, Bill Wray, Arthur Adams, & Rand Holmes. And last but not least, 3-D legend, Ray Zone with the 3-D Process.
Prepare your hearts and your minds for 4 chilling tales of science fiction horror. Starting with a woman’s journey coming full circle with an abusive man, then it’s War! But everything is not what it seems…, then its alien microscopic contamination on a prehistoric planet, then a man is reincarnated as a cyborg slave, and finally the finale… an astronaut marooned on an alien planet finds a device that can create any reality. Good Stuff.
Contents(Spoilers!)
“Fair Play” 3 pages
Writer: Bruce Jones
Artists: Jim Sullivan & Dave Stevens
Colorist: Ray Zone (3-D Process)
A woman recounts how she was mistreated by a masculine man while living out in the wilderness. She complained about; the creatures in the forest, the living accommodations, the hard work, the abject servitude, and the funny tasting water. It was a life beyond misery. She eventually leaves the man, but after being apart four “long” months she decides that she cannot live without him… so she returns to him. When she returns, she finds that some changes have taken place, changes that challenge her even more than before.
“Field Drill” 7 page
Writer: Bruce Jones
Artist: John Bolton
Colorist: Ray Zone (3-D Process)
An Army major laments that the new cadets aren’t proud and patriotic like the great generation of World War 2. He almost wishes for war so that people would wake up. While on the way to a training exercise on another planet, the major announces his retirement. A meteor shower temporally diverts the ship. Later they land on the “training planet” and it is explained to them that the warfare is simulated and that they would receive a mild Hypno-drug to enhance the feeling of actual combat with hallucinations. But when people start dying, the line between what’s real and what’s not real begins to effect reality.
“Gifts” 4 pages
Writer: Bruce Jones
Artist: Bill Wray
Colorist: Ray Zone (3-D Process)
Two space aliens who are Federation marksmen are tasked with eliminating the dinosaurs on a planet so that the rest of life can evolve. But the rest of life itself comes in jeopardy when one of the space aliens removes their space helmet introducing microscopic germs and viruses to the planet. And the wildlife begins to get sick.
“Away off there amid the Softly Winking Lights” 5 pages

Artist: Arthur Adams
Colorist: Tony Alderson (3-D Process)
Dr. Peterson is a set designer / engineer. With the help of robots, he builds simulated jungles. He laments that there are no real jungles on the planet and only real jungles are available to robots on space expeditions. Space travel is not feasible for humans only for robots and Dr. Peterson resents it. Dr. Peterson is diagnosed with cancer and his friend helps him kill himself. Dr. Peterson re-awakens in a robot body in a real jungle… with past friends that have died before him.
“Spaceman Go Home!” 9 pages
Writer: Bruce Jones
Artist: Rand Holmes
Colorist: Ray Zone (3-D Process)
A man is awakened in his spaceship when the red alert warning signal activates. The man discovers that the ship is being drawn down to an alien planet surface. The man barely crash lands the ship but makes it to the planet’s surface. Once outside of the crashed ship, the man realizes that he has been stricken with amnesia and can’t remember anything. While looking down, the man finds a small hand-held alien computer and starts pressing the buttons. Out of nowhere, a beautiful, half-naked woman appears… without a spacesuit. She says that her name is Leta 577 and asks how she can serve the man. The man tries to kiss her but finds that she is only a hologram. She states that if he wants to have physical contact that he needs a different model and tells him to press different buttons on the Alien computer. She fades away and another different beautiful half-naked woman appears. The man learns from the woman that the Alien computer can create any reality. So, the man takes the woman and heads back to his ship. Later, unexpectantly, a government official shows up and tells the man that he must relinquish the Alien computer and called it the “Cylox”. The man resists, not wanting to give up his woman or his “magic lamp” and mayhem ensues.
