He’s strong! He’s powerful! He’s nigh invulnerable! He’s a great, big, oversized super-hero with the intelligence level of topsoil. Oh yes, and to his fans, he’s known as the Tick.

Written and drawn by Ben Edlund at tiny New England Comics Press, the Tick has become one of the most beloved of the independent comics. Its star is a grinning idiot who dances across rooftops scanning for crime with his Secret Crime Viewfinder (a ViewMaster™). The only thing that saves him from certain destruction due to his own folly is his tick-like “nigh invulnerability.” So when he meets up with the neighborhood Ninja, their throwing stars and knives simply bounce right off. It’s a good thing, too, as readers everywhere would mourn if anything were to happen to their favorite bug wannabee.

This comic contains pages of wacky superhero hijinks that will make you weaker from laughter that being exposed to a whole room filled with OTTERCREEKITE*! *Read the book and find out what that meant.  All this and a die cut cover, a signature from Ben Edlund, and an original flyer that states when and where the signing/dating took place!

Story/Spoilers
The Tick lands a job as a crossword editor and adopts a not-so-secret identity. Will he succeed at his job or will he become a major nuisance to his co-workers? Who is The Caped Wonder? Why is Clark’s car now shaped like a giant ashtray, is it because he’s a heavy smoker?
