George A. Focusing on one man that has been turned into one of the walking dead, but that has maintained his human mind and thoughts, A modern day Frankenstein told from the perspective of a man alone in the universe. Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Overnight, the world has been turned upside down, and zombies rule the day! It’s up to a college professor named Hoffman, his assistant Damien Cross, and his gal Judy to figure out exactly how and why the undead have taken over. But even if they do get to the bottom of the plague, is it too late to save the world?

Next in issue #2, Professor Hoffman is kidnapped by the U.S. army and mortally wounded. Rather than saving himself, he strives to keep his undead assistant Damien “alive” in order to figure out how to save all mankind, as the power elite scheme to maintain a stranglehold on the world’s richest via an army led by a zombie general named Attila!

Next in issue #3, George Romero continues the tale of the dead vs. the living as Damien Cross–who exists somewhere between the two–fights for control of Earth. The power elite keep a stranglehold on the world’s wealth while an army of dead scourge the countryside!

Next in issue #4, Our “undead” hero, Damien Cross struggles for control of what’s left of planet Earth! As the army of the resurrected dead swarm the land, there appears to be a rift growing between their Zombie General and his lieutenant, Rasputin!

Next in issue #5, Zombies attack! As a growing rift between the leaders of the armies of the dead threatens to send their demonic forces into chaos, Damion Cross tries to turn the tide of battle for humanity. Will his efforts be enough to stay the overwhelming hordes of walking dead?

Finally in issue #6, George Romero’s tale of a zombie-infested world concludes! It’s the final battle between “undead” hero Damien Cross, an army of resurrected dead, and the U.S. power elite. Who will inherit the earth, the living or the dead?
