A team of the world’s deadliest vampire hunters, including the legendary slayer Blade, has gathered for perhaps the most important – and most dangerous – mission of their collective careers. Led by Noah Van Helsing, the team’s goal is singular: Prevent the legendary vampire Dracula from completing a mystical transformation that will imbue him with extraordinary powers and elevate his status from ruler of the Earth’s vampires to omnipotent God.

If successful, the transformation – which is part of a larger ceremony and can only take place once every thousand years – will bring about the end of humanity, reducing people to mere cattle for the undead. But the transformation also weakens the King of the Vampires, leaving Dracula in an immobile state, unable to defend himself from attack. The team of hunters views this as an opportunity to destroy their ultimate nemesis. But, Dracula – an adept military strategist when he was merely a man – prepared for the team. He’s called in the most dangerous vampires from around the world to protect him from would-be assassins. He is ready for the attack to begin…

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Blade tracks a not-quite-human, not-quite-vampire woman to a bar. When he gets there she is attacked by a vampire named Hector, who Blade quickly disposes of. He then finds out she has left. Blade follows her back home, the two fight and then nearly kiss but are interrupted by a video call for her from a man named Noah. She leaves to see Noah.

Where Noah is, he introduces the team members for his mission, Benjamin Soloman Alomii who specializes in hunting the adze vampire and killed his vampire wife and children, Michiyo Watanabe who specializes in hunting the Yikki Onna (Asian snow vampire), she is hunting for the one that killed her father. There is also Lucas Telling-Stone who is a mute, that specializes in learning about vampires and also weaponry, he can communicate by telepathy and Enzo Ferrara, a former priest who specializes in knowing how to kill every type of vampire. He explains they plan to kill Dracula, but Blade intervenes and is allowed to join because he is the only one who has fought Dracula before. It is then revealed that Noah’s full name is Noah van Helsing and the woman that Blade met earlier (who is also on the team) is named Divinity Drake and is a human descendant of Dracula.

Next in issue #2, The story starts with a training exercise between the team in which Blade shoots Divinity in the head close range with paintball bullets. Noah then gives Divinity a round or vampire killing bullets. She uses one on Blade, knowing he is wearing Kevlar. They then attend a presentation about Dracula’s plan. It says many years ago, a vampire lord named Varnae forced a mystic named Aamshed to create a ritual which would make the vampire lord into a god. However when Atlantis, Varnae’s home sinks, he cannot complete the ritual as it must be done on his home land. Now it is Dracula’s turn to attempt the ritual. Noah mentions that they will kill Dracula with a nuclear weapon. Meanwhile Dracula reveals to the vampire generals that he has a spy amongst the heroes and orders them to be attacked before they reach the airport, a group of vampires attack in the tunnel and the heroes are only survived by the Mortus Invituus, a group of good vampires, they reveal they cannot go any further with the heroes because then Dracula would gain control of them. Once on the plane, they are attacked by flying vampires…

Next in issue #3, At the end of last issue Blade and the others come under attack from flying vampires whilst on board a plane. This issue carries on where they become overwhelmed, Blade jumps out of the plane without a parachute and kills a few before blacking out and falling to his death. Ben manages to save him and all the team survive, they then decide to walk to Castle Dracula, Noah then reveals about another part of Dracula’s metamorphosis where he needs a human woman so that there will be a new breed of daytime vampires. Meanwhile, Dracula kills his general who was in charge of the flying vampires. He absorbs him as fuel for the transformation. Back with Blade, Lucas telepathically tells Blade about something weird with Divinity. The group manage to hitchhike to their location where they meet up with their on-site team-mate Ion. Soon they come under attack from the Yiki Onna, ice vampires, one of them is responsible for the death of Michiyo’s mother. At Castle Dracula, Dracula threatens Juito, the Yiki Onna, general that if they do not succeed he will be killed. As the group battle the vampires they realize their only hope is to flee, Michiyo stays behind and reveals her weapon was designed to kill the vampire who killed her mother at the cost of her own life, she stabs herself and both her and one of the Yiki Onna die. The final ice vampire makes a final charge at Blade and the others, kidnapping Noah van Helsing. Back at Dracula’s HQ, Van Helsing is revealed to be only Van Helsing in name, not blood, his true name is Noah Tremayne. The Vampire generals swiftly kill Noah. Where Blade is, Blade and the other men discuss their plan to nuke Dracula when Divinity aims a gun in their direction and fires…

Finally in issue #4, At the end of last issue it appeared that Divinity Drake had turned against the team, but in truth, she was shooting at the oncoming army of vampires. The team take on the army that greatly outnumbers them but Lucas is quickly killed by a vampire who does not die until minutes after it is staked. Divinity makes a run for Castle Dracula with the nuke. Blade continues the battle wishing he could afford to follow her when another group of the Mortus Invitus who are stronger in order to resist Dracula, led by Groza arrive and join Blade’s side of the battle. Meanwhile, Divinity leaves the nuke behind and goes to Castle Dracula under his control. Blade leaves Enzo behind to help the Mortus Invitus and chases after Divinity but is confronted by a vampiric Benjamin. Blade makes it to the castle with the nuke. But Dracula reveals that he has been spying on the group through Blade, reveals Deacon Frost, saying that he was resurrected to battle Blade in case he got to Castle Dracula. Blade swiftly kills Deacon then discovers that he can no longer move because he is under Dracula’s control now due to being part vampire. Dracula then absorbs all the generals in the room and then Divinity. Blade can do nothing but watch. Inside Dracula’s head Divinity reveals that she is Aamshed in disguise and that a nuke would not kill him, the true answer to her riddle was the collection of innocent souls destroyed by Dracula. She then mentally wounds him leaving Blade free to move. Blade stakes Dracula, who dies, leaving a wave of energy spread over the local land. At the scene of the battle, everyone is hit by the beam of energy, when it clears only Enzo remains. Blade then leaves wondering what happened to Divinity.
