This collection reprints issues 1 to 5 of the graphic adventure series, Warlock 5, along with three story pages and the characters’ biographies from issue 6.

In its year and a half of existence, the heroes – or anti-heroes – of Warlock 5 have developed an almost fanatical following. One might be tempted to call it a “cult comic” but in this case that would hardly be accurate – for there seem to be at least five personality cults involved. From the intensity of the reader mail we have received, it is apparent that most people feel strongly attracted to one of the main characters, and equally repelled by at least one of the others. That wasn’t exactly the creators’ prime intention, but we’re not displeased.

In terms of story, art, and concepts, Warlock 5 is without a doubt an unconventional comic. The 1988 Amazing Heroes Preview Special said of Warlock 5 that it is” …one of the most peculiar comics being published today. It mixes elements of horror, fantasy, and science fiction in a manner that defies categorization.” Now open your mind, throw all your preconceptions aside, and prepare yourself for a strange trip…

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Tanith and Savashtar are two of five guardians of the interdimensional grid; Doomidor sends his troops against Argon.

Next in issue #2, Argon infiltrate’s Zania’s headquarters; Background is given on Argon; Argon’s agent blasts a hole in the grid/gateway, making it unstable.

Next in issue #3, All five guardians must set aside their hate and team up to try to repair a damaged grid/gateway.

Next in issue #4, Savashtar uses his mystic training to attempt to teach Doomidor a lesson or two.

Finally in issue #5, Morbyd rallys Zania & Tanith to help him kill Doomidor; What they kill is an android copy made by Argon.
