As underground agents committed to peace between humans and mutants, lovers Logan and Jean Grey undertake a suicide mission to steal valuable information from Apocalypse. Apocalypse realizes their termination amnesties are temporary, and fights like a man possessed. Their apparent triumph might be a Pyrrhic victory as leadership struggles within the Human High Council could place mankind onto a path of extinction. Logan may have unwittingly provided the means necessary to hasten the Age of Apocalypse instead of leading the final bid for freedom.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, “Unforgiven Trespasses”, Jean and Logan are sending in a suicide mission by the Human Council, travelling in a sentinel to destroy the Atlantic Ocean great wall. During their mission they confront the impetuous Havok, but he is beaten and teleported miles away. They accomplished their mission allowing a massive human evacuation. After, the human council is under attack by Magma, a mutant assassin sent by Apocalypse, this attack provokes the anger of Brian Braddock that established a massive radioactive bombardment on North America as the final attack to the vicious reign of Apocalypse.

Next in issue #2, “Fire in the Sky!”, Jean leaves Logan to help human evacuation and arrival to Europe costs, but they meet again at Bristol shore. During evacuation Box and Copycat, who apparently have escaped from the x-men last confrontation, started to attack human civilians including but they are stopped and killed by Jean and Logan. Meanwhile Pierce and the Reavers took advantage of the distraction to camouflage as humans in the crowd so they can leak in humans’ new territories. The Reavers attacked and took control of one of the main airships of human resistance responsible of guide system of the human fleet. Weapon X confronted them and managed to apparently stop the reavers. At the end Jean leaves definitely Europe planning to warn North America of the preventive attack of Human Council, Weapon X could not stop her and kissed her.

Next in issue #3, “The Common Right of Toads and Men”, Weapon x embarks on an expedition to Wundagore Mountain, former Magneto´s sanctuary, after several years of no returning. In his path is attacked by two Techno-organic Reavers -Dead-eye and Mangle- but he destroyed them. He arrives to the ruins of Wundagore, home of Gateway, a hermit mutant with teleporting powers, who is secured by Carol Danvers his own bodyguard. They are ambushed by Reavers -Donald Pierce and Vultura- from the air. Weapon X, Gateway and Danvers teleport to Reaver´s plane, later Danvers jumps with Pierce out of the plane, in midair she blows up a grenade sacrificing her trying to kill Pierce.

Finally in issue #4, “Into the Maelstrom”, Gateway is brought before the Human High Council so he could be convinced about Apocalypse´s human slaughter in North America. He decides to help in Carol Danvers memory. They are attacked by Pierce and Carol Danvers, who is controlled by techno-organic virus but at the end she refuses to fight Wolverine. Braddock is revealed as a traitor and is killed by Pierce. When everything seems, lost Wolverine made an incredible surprise!
