Story/Spoilers
In part #1, The Witchblade takes Sara on a mind trip to witness a previous bearer’s battle with pirates.
Next in part #2, Mob enforcer Jackie Estacado enters Sara’s life and when she tries to bring him down, the Witchblade doesn’t want to cooperate.
Next in part #3, Sara tries to investigate her mysterious stalker; Trying to find the missing Lisa, Sara confronts Dannette at her modeling studio.
Next in part #4, Sara and Jake take time out from their hunt for the microwave killer to investigate a mob goon who has been killed by a member of the Yakuza; Joe confesses to Sara that the microwave killer showed up once before in one of his old cases and was responsible for killing her father.
Next in part #5, Sara tries to convince Lisa to take it easy on the modeling career and return home but the young girl refuses; Jake’s girlfriend is killed and Jake and Sara question the Yakuza about the murder; Takata demands that Sara give him the Witchblade but the weapon goes wild and kills a number of Takata’s men; Joe Siry follows the clues of the microwave murders to the home of supermodel agent, Danette Boucher, and finds Wilder as he is preparing to sacrifice Lisa.
Next in part #6, While Jake and Joe try to keep Bruce from killing Lisa, Sara has a showdown with the real microwave killer, Dannette Boucher; Sara learns that Dannette has absorbed some of the power of the Witchblade as Irons tried to make her its wielder in the past and the power has ruined her life; Dannette has been killing her models to pacify the Witchblade and does not resist as Sara bows to her wishes and strips her of her power; This kills Dannette but, before she dies, she tells Sara that she is not the one who killed her father; Bruce mourns the loss of his mother.
Next in part #7, Sara and Jake are suspended from the police department; Jake returns to visit his family and rekindle an old flame; Sara is approaced by the Justice Department and is given a new job where she can use the Witchblade freely; The Yakuza attempts to cement their control over New York by having Tora No Shi decimate Sara’s old precinct building and killing many of her fellow police officers.
Next in part #8, Sara rescues some experimental subjects from a government project and, in return, they try to kill her.
Finally in part #9, The Level 42 subjects that Sara rescued continue to chase her down and try to kill her; She finds this difficult to handle as the Witchblade refuses to work; Nottingham shows up and rescues her.
