1994, in a world like our own, but different. The Soviet policy of perestroika has failed, and General Secretary Gorbachev has been assassinated. Now, a rampaging portion of the Soviet military has resolved to invade the Western Bloc countries, escalating the threat of devastating global conflict. Leading war manga figure Motofumi Kobayashi, creator of the hit series Cat Shit One, delivers a gritty, realistic depiction of a third World War that might have actually happened had there been one wrong move!

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, Conflict has broken out in Europe! The Soviet military, aided by various communist forces, has resolved to “free Western Europe from capitalist oppression”. How will NATO forces respond?

Next in issue #2, Fierce fighting on Western German soil! The war wages on, from large engagements between tanks and aircrafts in open fields, to door-to-door fighting in the streets between ground forces. Additionally, convoy of tanks and artillery is forced to make a haunting decision when refugees block their advance…

Finally in issue #3, The final operation ensues! The make it or break it battle begins with a fight in the pitch-black darkness of the night. The battle lines are blurry and both sides sustain significant casualties. Is there only carnage moving into the future, or will a peaceful resolution be found?
