The X-Files is a fictional look into the paranormal, the supernatural, and the just plain weird. Inspired by the Fox TV series, this comic stars two crack FBI agents who, although crippled by bureaucracy and government cover-ups, set out to investigate “X-Files” – cases that seem to point to mysterious phenomena. Agent Fox Mulder is an intrepid investigator who feels compelled to peer into the unknown, since he firmly believes that his own sister was abducted by a UFO when she was a child. He is balanced out by his more skeptical partner, Dana Scully, who conducts forensic work that seems always to lead to more questions than it answers. This well-scripted series accurately preserves the pacing and suspense of the television show. Although it may not give us any more answers than the television series does, it’s guaranteed to be every bit as fascinating.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, “Not to be Opened Until X-Mas”, Scully and Mulder’s investigation of a bizarre death in a Brooklyn church threatens to uncover an incredible plot involving an “inner government” conspiracy, the Vatican, an unscrupulous antiquities dealer, and the object of the clandestine search–the parchment containing the stolen last Fatima prophecy that seems to have an astonishing way of destroying anyone who attempts to read its secret.

Next in issue #2, “The Dismemberance of Things Past”, Scully and Mulder discover that the alleged crash site of an extraterrestrial craft could be at the center of a government-sanctioned web of lies and violence as witnesses to the long-ago event are murdered when they start recalling the truth of what happened.

Finally in issue #3, “A Little Dream of Me”, A rouge FBI agent plays upon Mulder’s emotions by offering to reunite him with his long lost sister in exchange for access codes to the Pentagon’s computers.
