It’s probably not a coincidence that the title of this series sounds like X-Files. The carcass of a mysterious sea creature washes up on shore, and a team of scientists and explorers goes out to investigate its origins. What they find is a spectacular lightning storm, an undiscovered island, and just maybe, death. Along the way a man tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter, tensions rise between competitive scientists, and it turns out that the sea creature they discovered wasn’t alone.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, A team of researchers drift on the ocean, lost, in their quest for an enigmatic island that’s never been explored. Washing on its shores, they find a dense, terrifying jungle populated with animal and plant life that has evolved along a completely different path. What secret does this isle hold?

Next in issue #2, The expedition to a mysterious island gets more desperate now. With options rapidly narrowing, our team begins to fall victim to the creatures on the island. What is their secret? What’s the truth behind Island X and the mysteries that it holds?

Next in issue #3, Greer & Benga try to take over the group. They find Keller will not abandon his daughter. Keller, Temple, Matt go after Sarah & Greer, Benga & Kent head for higher ground to try to get the radio working. Following Sarah’s trail they are attacked by Vegemites. They fight them off & follow them hoping they will lead them to Sarah. They find a crashed alien spaceship & find Sarah’s shoe inside. Greer’s group doesn’t get a radio signal. Kent’s wound infection continues to spread. While Benga is trying to catch a creature for dinner they run into a boat graveyard in the middle of the island.

Next in issue #4, Captain Greer and his group are attacked by an island creature, which they manage to kill while Professor Keller and his group follow Sarah’s clues into the alien spacecraft. They find many unique creatures in the spacecraft’s hold, and one attacks Matt and they manage to save him but then it rips Dr. Temple in half. Meanwhile, Dr. Kent’s infection is spreading. Captain Greer says they have to amputate but before they do, weird vegetation bursts out of Dr. Kent’s legs, arms and stomach. We finish with Sarah says that just once she sure hopes that her father doesn’t let her down.

Finally in issue #5, The most startling revelation of all! Why has this island evolved along a different path? Why is the flora and fauna of this place so hellish – and so lethal? What secret does the island hold?
