Zombies have risen to destroy the living and their numbers more than make up for their lack of intelligence. Desperate for safety, the citizens of L.A. have gathered in safe camps, guarded by army troops, and one such camp is the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Crowded together with a diminishing supply of food and surrounded by the undead, the people have become savages. This story raises the question of which is more monstrous: the mindless zombies driven only by instinct, or the people who put aside all thought or logic and give in to their baser nature.

Story/Spoilers
In issue #1, They began to appear just three days ago, and now Los Angeles is a city overcrowded by zombies. In the Coliseum Refugee Camp, thousands of survivors are waiting for an evacuation that never comes. Between them are Brad, the student; Paquita, the barrio girl; Lonzo the gangsta, and the always-smiling martial arts master, Shigeru… and they’ll have to join forces to survive the zombies and the other refugees!

Next in issue #2, The huge LA refugee camp, home to the desperate survivors of the zombie outbreak, has been abandoned by their protectors in the armed forces. As wave after wave of flesh- hungry zombies pour into the camp, it’s every man and woman for themselves. This could be the end of them all, but a small, mismatched group is determined to make it out alive…if they don’t kill each other first.

Next in issue #3, The small group including Lonzo, a couple of Red Cross volunteers Brad and Suzy, a convicted murderer, and a mysterious old samurai have to battle their way through a legion of undead. But even if they can get out of the stadium, what are their prospects once they enter the city, which is crawling with ghouls?

Finally in issue #4, A car spells salvation for would-be escapees of the zombie camp, but there isn’t room for everyone. After a tough-and deadly-decision, they make their escape and struggle to discover their next move. Will this be a new beginning for Pratt, Brad, Paqiuta, and Shigeru? Or will Lonzo give into his dark urges towards Suzy and splinter the newly formed band?
