Blood Bowl was originally a miniatures board game created by Jervis Johnson for the British games company Games Workshop as a parody of American football. The game was first released in 1986 and has been re-released in new editions since. Blood Bowl is set in an alternate version of the Warhammer Fantasy setting, populated by traditional fantasy elements such as human warriors, goblins, dwarves, elves, orcs and trolls.

And now, Boom! Studios presents “Blood Bowl: Killer Contract”. Another addition to the growing Blood Bowl franchise, this time in the form of a comic book series.

Story/Spoilers
In part #1, The Hackers begin their brutal march to their next championship game, filled with spiked balls, corrupt refs, and giant-sized barrels of Bugman’s XXXXXX!

Next in part #2, ‘Retired’ assassin Kalter Mörder seeks redemption for the only contract he ever blew when his team, the Bad Bay Hackers, battles the feared Dwarf Giants. Mörder finally gets his shot at star Giants blitzer Snazkazi Ungrim, and he’s going to take it, no matter who else might die in the process!

Next in part #3, As the Bad Bay Hackers face off against the hated Underworld Creepers, they discover a traitor within their midst, a teammate hired to kill their star player! The assassin soon learns a hard lesson that every Blood Bowl veteran knows by heart: Just wanting to kill someone on the pitch doesn’t mean you can do it – even if he’s on your team!

Next in part #4, As the Bad Bay Hackers enter the semi-final round of the Blood Bowl Championship, an assassin still plagues their play. They’d put a stop to it if they weren’t too busy battling the tentacled terrors of the Chaos All-Stars for their lives!

Finally in part #5, The Bad Bay Hackers take on the Champions of Death in a bid for the Blood Bowl Championship trophy. Assassin Kalter Mörder still hopes to kill Hacker hero Dunk Hoffnung, but he has to compete for the honor with his shocking client, not to mention a small army of the undead!
