Kull the Conqueror was created by Robert E Howard in a story called the Shadow Kingdom published in Weird Tales in August, 1929. Later, Kull was adapted to comics by various publishers. There is also a 1997 theatrical movie of Kull. A barbarian of Atlantis, Kull settled in Valusia and became its King.

“Eye of the Tigress”, Kull, King of Valusia attends a royal wedding of the heiress of Thule to the crown-prince of Verulia. At some point Ku-Var the ruler of Atlantis enters the room. Kull is amazed by his chief guard, a fierce woman named Iraina, who is dressed in an impressive outfit made of tiger skin. Following the wedding a series of contests is held. The king of Thule calls for Kull and Ku-Var to choose two of their best fighters to face each other in combat. Ku-Var picks Iraina and Kull chooses his Pictish guard Brule. Brule refuses to battle a woman, but Iraina’s taunts frustrate him so he attacks her but he loses. Time passes until one day an old Atlantean mentor of Kull’s, Ram-Os, seeks him out and warns him that Iraina has killed Ku-Var and now leads an army of women bent on conquering the world!

Kull and Ridondo immediately set out to to resurrect Gonra.

“While Valusia Sleeps”, The chamber of king Eallal remains sealed. A pair of Valusian conspirators suspect that there is treasure hidden there. They trick Gonra to open the chamber for them. Living Serpent-Men emerge from the chamber and attack them. Gonra fights them bravely but has to retreat. Kull is alerted by the noise and responds by arriving to the chamber. He faces the Serpent-Men, including one who has assumed the form of Gonra. He manages to kill them all in battle. In death, the Gonra imposter returns to his real form. Kull decides to cleanse the chamber with fire and then reseal it. This time using brick and mortar to make sure nobody can open it.
